This gorgeous engagement shoot took place at 6:30am just a few days after Praneet proposed to Savita at the Lincoln Memorial! Despite it being early morning, there were still a good number of tourists and Washingtonians out and about, and a few of them stopped to congratulate us (and comment on how gorgeous Savita looked in her traditional salwar kameez!).

I loved so many things about this shoot: the iconic backdrops of the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Reflecting Pool, and WWII Memorial; the magical morning light, the beautiful colors of summer in DC, the mix of modern and traditional fashion – oh, and the hilarious Chinese tourists not-so-stealthily following us around taking photos of me taking photos and referring to Praneet and Savita as models. 😉

These two were a dream to work with, and I’m so stoked with how these photos turned out. Makes me feel lucky to live just a stone’s throw away from some of the most beautiful monuments in the nation! 🙂
