Although Manuel and I don’t have kids yet, I still love looking through baby and kids’ clothes! It feels like every year there are more and more stylish options for the little ones, and on multiple occasions, I have found myself wishing a dress or jumpsuit came in adult sizes! 😉 Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite stores for buying kids’ clothes for family sessions (plus some honorable mentions!). As always, I’m highlighting styles that photograph well and have a timeless quality, and I’ve included links under each section in case you find a particular piece you like!
H&M Kids

H&M definitely takes the cake when it comes to a one-stop shop for stylish and fresh, yet affordable pieces for both boys and girls. They offer a wide range of styles in light neutral and muted colors which photograph and coordinate together beautifully.
Zara Kids
From left to right: Denim pants | Peter-pan collar sweater | Rust floral dress | Windowpane dress | Yellow Floral Dress | Ribbed pants | Corduroy skirt
I’ve always thought of Zara as H&M’s slightly edgier cousin, and their kids’ styles are no exception. Their color palettes tend to be more muted and earthy, which is great for any outdoors family session.
Eggy
From left to right: Watercolor floral dress | Ruffle sleeve dress| Embroidered dress | Peter-pan collar dress | Long sleeve floral dress | Spaghetti strap dressÂ
If you’re looking for a gorgeous floral dress for your little girl, look no further than Eggy! Seriously, these are the kind of pieces that make me wish I had a daughter to dress up! 😉 Eggy also offers boys’ styles (not pictured) but they tend to be on the more casual side.
Rylee + Cru
From left to right: Plaid dress | Corduroy overalls | Grid print dress | Sherpa corduroy jacket | Chunky cardigan | Floral skirt
Rylee + Cru is a smaller boutique store so their selection is more limited and styles sell out quickly, but I love their vintage-inspired cottagecore aesthetic! Similar to Zara kids, they feature a lot of earth tones, and most of their models are shown frolicking through fields and mountains. 🙂 Bonus: they also sell some coordinating women’s dresses!
