For the past three years, Manuel and I have taken our own Christmas card photos using a tripod and intervalometer. It’s something I really look forward to every year, and I’m grateful that Manuel indulges me and plays along with gusto! 😛 I always enjoy the creative challenge of being on both sides of the camera at once, and every year is a learning experience!
This year’s session comes with a funny story: we were shopping at National Harbor for our outfits, and just happened to catch sight of a very familiar sweater at J. Crew…it turned out to be the same sweater that Sean had worn at a recent family session (see it here)! It was such a funny coincidence that I had to text Meredith and tell her about it! Manuel ended up trying on the sweater and loving it due to the cozy waffle knit and unique green color. I have to say that both men totally rocked their matching sweaters!
Meanwhile, I picked out a golden yellow sweater (is anyone surprised?? haha), and together we unintentionally blended right in with the fall foliage! The weather was a perfect 60 degrees with low winds, and it was wonderful to just enjoy the sights and sounds of nature while spending some quality time together.
These are a few of my favorites from this year’s session.
Enjoy!
