I had such a wonderful time photographing Tiana and Tolu at Green Spring Gardens this past week! Tiana and Tolu are friends of the Yamada family, whom I photographed last winter (see their adorable session here!). I love making connections through previous families and clients, and I always feel so honored when my families refer me to their friends! 🙂

While Tiana and Tolu currently live in New York City, they were back in the DC area, where they originally met and fell in love, for the season, and they wanted to take some fun maternity portraits to celebrate their upcoming baby girl.

As I took them through my favorite spots in Green Spring Gardens, I very quickly realized how natural they were in front of the camera. They were so incredibly comfortable and relaxed with each other, and it really shows in these photos! I absolutely loved the tender way that Tolu caressed Tiana’s baby bump, and how they would both break into the hugest grins when I asked them to look at each other. This was one of those sessions that I thoroughly enjoyed from beginning to end, and I wish that we were able to stay and chat for longer!
