This beautiful family session was gifted to baby Nora for her first birthday by her doting grandmother, and it’s safe to say that she rocked her portraits like a pro! 🙂 Caroline and Chris chose a lovely palette of soft blues, pinks, and grays that played beautifully with the lush greenery of Founders Park in Old Town Alexandria, and the morning light was seriously magical as it glowed through the treetops.

Located just north of the Old Town shopping/dining district, Founders Park is usually filled with locals taking a leisurely walk or playing Frisbees with their dogs, and it offers a beautiful array of backgrounds, including the Old Town waterfront. I loved following little Nora around with my camera as she played with gravel, crawled around the blanket we had set on the grass, and rummaged through her mom’s purse for snacks! We also took a few mom-and-dad-only portraits at the end of the session, as those can be all too rare with a 1-year-old running around!
