I got the chance to photograph the gorgeous Thompson family last week in Old Town Alexandria, and I’m so excited to share these images with you guys!

Jackie and I first met at Cornell – we were actually housemates my senior year, and I called her my “dimple buddy” hehe! Let me tell you, this girl has only gotten more and more stunning over the years!! Jackie has the most beautiful smile and infectious laugh – you can almost hear it just looking through these photos! I was so happy to see that she has the same spunk and joy that she did when we were in college. It was also so neat to see how her life has developed since – not only is she a wonderful mother to Micah, she’s also making waves as the Food and Beverage Manager at the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown!

I was so delighted to finally meet Brandon, and I was even more delighted to see how hands-on he was during our session. Most dads aren’t the hugest fans of getting photos taken, but not Brandon! Not only did he take posing direction like a pro, he was also constantly finding ways to make little Micah laugh and keep him engaged, which made my job a breeze.

Micah, on the other hand, wins the prize for fastest crawler EVER. Mid-session, we took a little play break and he was crawling along the grass and towards the waterfront so fast, I half expected to have to put on flippers and chase him down in the Potomac! I just loved capturing his adorable little smile and gorgeous head of curls! Look closely, and you’ll see tiny little sailboats on Micah’s shirt to match the boats on the Alexandria waterfront! 🙂
